5. Richard Pryor

Richard Pryor was detained in 1974, just after the release of his famous comedy album, whose title is unprintable here. He was in prison for ten days for failing to file his income tax return. The late comedian had many disagreements with the law, but the major one amongst them was his under the radar issue of tax evasion. Instead of a detailed defense, Pryor just said, “I forgot.” The money he owed to Uncle Sam is not known. Later on, he was also put on trial and was fined.
