11. Nicolas Cage
Although Nicolas Cage inspired abstinence in Leaving Las Vegas and comedy in Raising Arizona, he certainly inspired only irony when he was found guilty for non-payment of his federal income taxes of more than $6.2 million in 2007. The National Treasure star could have sold any one of his Two Castles and paid back the tax debt right away, but he did not. In 2009, the IRS convicted Cage for not paying his taxes. In his defense, Cage put the blame on his former accountant and manager, saying that they made poor investment choices in the risky business of real estate and failed to pay his taxes. He tried to settle his tax issues with the IRS, but he still paid substantial fines on his owed taxes.
