Martha Stewart may be a garden and home guru, but she is also found guilty of tax evasion. Before landing up in prison for insider trading, Martha Stewart was ordered to pay $220,000 in penalties and back taxes to the State of New York. After her stint in jail, she learnt that even East Hampton mansions have taxes. She claimed that she rarely stays there, but this was not enough to pacify the state of New York or reduce her tax burden.
