9. Willie Nelson
Willie Nelson, the popular crooner, was forced by the federal government to pay more than $16 million in fines and back taxes for his participation with a phony tax shelter. Before this, most of the assets of Nelson were also seized in 1990. This incident offered a new meaning to his 1975 top ten hit, Blue Eyes Crying in the Rain. However, it was later discovered that it was Price Waterhouse who did not pay the singer’s taxes for many years and instead invested the funds, thus offering some redemption to Nelson.
