While you can sign up for free on most of the social media networks, committing a mistake on Twitter or Facebook can cost you big bucks. Anthony Weiner, the former Congressman, got into trouble when he tweeted a photo of his nether regions. At first, he claimed that his account has been hacked, but then he admitted to his sexting ways. Eventually, the disgraced New York politician resigned from Congress. Gilbert Gottfried, the former Aflac spokesperson, lost his job over an improper tweet in 2011, where he joked about the Japan earthquake.
