8. Prioritize your payments
Not all payments are equal. So, decide which payments are important and urgent and which are not; and accordingly pay for them. For instance, if you own three credit cards and you can’t pay for all of them at once, then normally you will decide to pay equally for all the three cards, which is not advisable. However, the right technique is to first pay for the card that has the highest interest rate, and then pay for the other two cards. You can also do this by paying the minimum amount on the two cards and then paying off the third card from the remaining amount, until it is fully paid.
