To keep it simple, your credit score is a direct reflection of you credit report – which keeps a detailed document of personal information. But, the credit score helps to estimate how much of a risk you would be to lenders.

While there are other versions and scoring systems used, each of the credit bureaus have their own scoring models with different ranges.
FICO score: 300-850
Experian score: 330-830
TransUnion score: 300-850
Equifax: 300-850
VantageScore 3.0: 300-850
